This seminar features international developments in respect of electronic transferable records (electronic versions of transferable documents or instruments such as bills of lading, bills of exchange, promissory notes and warehouse receipts). The goal of “electronisation” of transferable documents or instruments is to enable electronic transferable records to be used and enforced in the same way as paper transferable documents or instruments. This seminar will also feature speakers from Japan, Republic of Korea, China and USA who will share on the laws and practical experiences of their jurisdictions.
