As a co convenor of SCCA’s Well-Being Chapter; a timely reminder this week to reflect how important it is to take care of your overall well-being especially as an in-house counsel; particularly with a back drop of a culture of disconnection, distraction, and overload.
World Mental Health Day is 10th October - a day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. First celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health. The theme this year is suicide prevention and “40 seconds of action” to raise awareness of the scale of suicide around the world and the role that each of us can play to help prevent it.
SCCA’s Well-Being Chapter set up in 2017 is here to help raise awareness and share updates and topical articles on health, overall well-being, including mental health and to provide tips and tools for use by in-house counsel.
Do not let yourself get to the point of complete exhaustion and fatigue, cynicism, disengagement and a sense of helplessness and complete inefficacy, inability to control your attention.
