Anil a Mediator (Singapore Mediation Centre), Arbitrator (Fellows of the Chartered, Singapore and Philippines Institutes of Arbitrators), Adjudicator (Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre of Arbitration), Advocate & Solicitor of Singapore and Solicitor of England and Wales has been in practice since 1995 after graduating as a Barrister of England and Wales (Middle Temple) and a five-year career as an infantry officer with the Singapore Armed Forces before that. He was with the international arbitration practice group of the international law firm Lovells Lee & Lee (2008-2009) and In-House Counsel and head of Davis Langdon & Seah (now part of Arcadis Group)’s Contract Advisory and Dispute Management division (2006-2008).

With the team conversant in Mandarin, Malay, Tamil and Malayalam besides English, the Chambers represent parties in Singapore and the region and is part of the pioneer batch of legal practitioners on the Singapore Academy of Law’s Future Lawyering Innovation Programme (FLIP) and recognised as the Singapore Law Society’s SmartLawpractice (essentially harnesses and/or adopts legal technology, including practice and knowledge management, accounting and database software; online and wireless broadcast and presentation technologies; and providing a seamless largely paper-less legal practice).
Trained in Adjudication and International Investment Treaty Arbitration with the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA) and Mediation with the S’pore Mediation Centre, Anil is on the panel of Mediators Adjudicators, Arbitrators & Mediators in Singapore, Malaysia and India and carries out honorary work with several institutions, societies and associations including as chairman of Society of Construction Law (S’pore)(SCL(S)) (2012-2014) and is its representative to the SCL (International) Liaison Sub Committee (SCL(Int’l)); is the honorary legal advisor to the Singapore Institutes of Architects (SIA),the Singapore Institute of Surveyors & Valuers (SISV), the Society of Interior Designers Singapore (SIDS) and the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA); was the honorary treasurer of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (SIArb) (2011-2013); the honorary secretary to Singapore Sri Lanka Business Association (SSLBA) and honorary advisor on International Relations to Asia Pacific Corporate Counsel Association (APCCA) since 2015.
Anil’s Pro Bono work since 1997 includes mentoring ex-inmates, family youth under TASEK Jurong (connected to the Yellow Ribbon Project) and legal and community affairs for the Constituency of Jurong Town Singapore of the Honourable Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

James Wong (JW) qualified as a Barrister (England) in 1996 and is admitted as an Advocate/Solicitor (Singapore) since 1999. He started his legal training in litigation and established his corporate career, initially in capital markets, and then practised financial restructuring in London as well as cross-border insolvency debt workouts with American whiteshoe firms.
JW served as member of SCCA's International Liaison subcommittee (2005-2011) and as its honorary auditor (2011-2012) appointed by the General Committee during his time as general counsel of Crescent group, a private equity investment fund manager.
JW has been recognised as Private Equity legal team-leader (2012), Corporate M&A JV Specialist (2013), Investment Funds Lawyer (2014) and Outstanding Corporate Lawyer (2015) by legal reporters & offshore publishers for the years he has returned to Singapore practice as a partner or in senior/director role of law firms.
JW now practises from Lex Advocatus which he founded from 2011 and corporatized as operational LLC in 2016. In span of over a year, he has garnered a local network of like minded lawyers in inter-firm alliances totalling more than 25 lawyers with varied practice areas and diverse capabilities, ready as supportive resource able to serve clients expediently.
