Singapore, 17 October 2025 — SCCA Sustainability Connect

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA) is proud to announce the launch of Sustainability Connect, a new event series spearheaded by its ESG Chapter.

The inaugural edition will take place on 28 October 2025 at the Singapore Management University (SMU) Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium. This milestone event aims to bring together in-house counsel, legal professionals, academics, and law students for meaningful dialogue and collaboration.

This event will be graced by the presence of Indranee Rajah SC, Minister, Prime Minister's Office; Second Minister for Finance; Second Minister for National Development, Republic of Singapore, as its Guest-of-Honour.

Guided by the theme “From Compliance to Leadership: Legal’s Role in Navigating Sustainability,” the event seeks to strengthen the expertise of in-house counsel in sustainability and sustainable finance, foster cross-disciplinary and cross-border collaboration, and position Singapore as a leading hub for ESG legal dialogue and development in Asia and beyond.

The SCCA Sustainability Connect 2025 will feature three panel discussions, each offering distinct perspectives on how legal professionals can navigate and lead within the sustainability landscape. Among the distinguished thought leaders featured are Kala Anandarajah (Rajah & Tann), Matthew Kasdin (Impact Investment Exchange), Rachel Liu (Ministry of Trade and Industry), Sim Ting (GenZero), Sean D. Tseng (SHEIN), and Dr Stefanie Schacherer (Yong Pung How School of Law, SMU).

The programme will also feature current student Lucas Teo (Environmental and Sustainability Law Club, SMU), who will moderate the third discussion panel on “Shaping Sustainable Futures: Legal Careers at the Crossroads of Law, Business, and the Environment.”

Sim Ting, Board Member of SCCA and Lead of the ESG Chapter, shared her thoughts on the event:

“The SCCA Sustainability Connect is about more than sharing knowledge; it’s about building a shared purpose and collaboration to tackle the climate and sustainability challenges confronting our organisations and society. It offers a space for learning and leadership, empowering in-house counsel to move beyond compliance and drive meaningful sustainability strategies.”

This event is sponsored by Dentons Rodyk. For more details and to register, please visit the event webpage here.
