Asia Pacific Corporate Counsel Alliance (APCCA) in its original form was initiated in 2009 at the first regional corporate counsel conference (organised by SCCA in Singapore) with signatories being the SCCA, Indonesia Corporate Counsel Association (IndonesiaCCA), Association of Corporate Lawyers Sri Lanka (ACLSL) and In house Counsel Forum – Korea (IHCF). In 2011, APCCA was formally launched at the third such conference (organised by the IndonesiaCCA in Jakarta ) with the Malaysian Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA), Legal Management Council of Philippines (LMCP) and Indian Corporate Counsel Association (IndiaCCA) joining the alliance. APCCA partners SCCA, MCCA, IndonesiaCCA, IndiaCCA and LMCP are also part of the In-House Counsel Worldwide (ICW).

The In-house Counsel Worldwide (ICW) group was formed from an affiliation group of in-house counsel associations from around the globe and formalised in June 2014 at the First In house Counsel World Summit held in Singapore and organised by SCCA . The purpose of the group is:

“Uniting the global in-house legal community, for the benefit of all in-house counsel, their organisations and the profession, through cooperation and collaboration.”
