IMDA, SAL and SCCA Launch AI Training Tracks for Legal Professionals

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Singapore Academy of Law (SAL), and Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA) have launched two artificial intelligence (AI) training programmes for legal professionals.
 

The programmes will run over the next three years and were developed under the National AI Impact Programme.

AIxLegal by SAL targets practising lawyers, covering the use of AI in legal research, drafting, and case analysis.
 

Meanwhile, AIxLegal by SCCA targets in-house counsel and allied legal professionals, with training focused on corporate legal workflows such as contract management, document management, and legal research.
 

The initiatives build on IMDA’s work with the Ministry of Law, SAL, and SCCA to expand AI use across the legal profession.
 

Separately, the authority is expanding its TechSkills Accelerator initiative to offer almost 2,000 tech job and training opportunities with more than 20 companies.
 

The place-and-train opportunities will be available to fresh graduates and mid-career professionals seeking to enter the technology sector.
 

Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo announced the programmes and the additional job and training opportunities at the Singapore Computer Society Tech3 Forum 2026.
