NTUC Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)

What is UTAP?

The Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) is a skills upgrading benefit for National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) members, designed to support continuous learning and professional development.

Funding Support

  • NTUC Members
    • Enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support*, capped at $250 per year for UTAP-supported courses.
    • Members aged 40 and above are eligible for enhanced support of up to $500 per year.
  • NTUC Starter Members
    • Enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support, capped at $200 per year for eligible courses.

UTAP-Approved SCCA Courses

With UTAP funding, SCCA members who are also NTUC or NTUC Starter members can enjoy greater course fee support while gaining practical, industry-relevant skills through our Academy programmes.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for UTAP funding, the following conditions must be met:

  • Maintain paid-up NTUC membership throughout the entire course duration and at the point of claim.
  • The course must be supported under UTAP and conducted by an approved training provider (SCCA), within the supported period.
  • The course must not be fully sponsored by the company or other funding sources.
  • Achieve at least 75% attendance and complete all required assessments (if applicable).
  • Submit the UTAP application within 6 months after course completion.
     

How to Enjoy the Course Support

  • Check for UTAP supported courses.
  • Register for course with training provider (SCCA) and attend training. For course information and enrolment, please contact learning@scca.org.sg.
  • Log in using Singpass and submit UTAP/UTAP-Lite claim within 6 months after course completion. Late claims will be rejected.
